On a stormy night, a woman left her back door open to allow in some fresh air. She was relaxing into her comfortable house when she noticed some unusual noises coming from the living room. She went to investigate, and to her amazement, she saw not one, not two, but three newborn deer in her living room!

The woman was astounded that the deer had found their way into her home. She assumed that the mother deer had abandoned her offspring someplace nearby, and that they had strayed inside her home in search of refuge from the storm.

The mother saw right away that the newborn deer were afraid and alone, and she knew she had to assist them. She contacted a local animal rescue group, which came to her home and securely trapped the deer. The fawns were inspected and confirmed to be healthy, but they needed to be reunited with their mother.

The wildlife rescue crew transported the newborn deer in a basket to a neighboring area where the mother deer was known to visit. The fawns rushed towards their mother as soon as they were freed, and the family was blissfully reunited.

The mom was pleased to see her family reunited and safe. She learnt an important lesson that night: never leave doors and windows open during a storm because wild animals might take refuge in unexpected places.
